Traditional Art / Mixed Media / Abstract

A design based on some shells I found on the beach this summer. I was originally going to use the shells as part of the composition, but then I changed my mind.

White paint, metallic gold marker, and India ink on cardboard. (The weird stuff on the left is supposed to be the gold marker. :/ BAD SCAN YEY.)

When I've looked at this one for the first time, It has looked to me like the morning fighting with the night in the sky... or maybe summer vs. winter... something like that.

Great job! It's a pity we can't see it just like it really is, scanners hate shiny things... U_U

...it's like day and night running side by side. I had an idea like that once.... and oh yeah, you can't really expect a scanner to pick up the metallic-icity of the marker. Still i love the concept!
